is an exhibition showcasing the artwork of Australian musicians curated by Paris Martine.
Interested in the similarities and differences between creating music and creating visual artworks the exhibition aims to open up the discussion of ideas in a supportive environment. It considers what is the difference between the artist and the musician? If there is there even a difference at all. At what point does the energy inside become a music note or a mark on a surface? How does the brain know which outlet is the best to convey an idea?
These questions and thoughts is what New Lease - Visual brings to this exhibition inviting you to experience and celebrate the mind of an artist who is also a musician and a musician who is also an artist.
